Technician/Laborer
The Technician is a catch all position and so the job responsibilities and description may not be all encompassing. Each tech is assigned to a specific project manager who will be their leader. The tech will receive assignments directly from their project manager and will fulfill them accordingly.
The assignments/jobs will be diverse but should all be within the capabilities of each tech. Except in special circumstances, each tech should have their drivers license and be capable of driving the work trucks. Special training will be included to drive the Isuzu due to the length and temperament of the vehicle. Each tech needs to be able to work without a manager on site and complete all tasks assigned in the time that is given to them. At the completion of each task, the tech needs to report to the project manager their progress.
Some of the responsibilities of the Technician/Laborers:
- Drive to suppliers such as Northwest door, ABC Metal, or Home Depot to pick up job supplies.
- Deliver and unload steel and other supplies at the job sites.
- Demolition
- Small repairs including sheetrock, soffit and fascia, siding, shingles, and other small repairs.
- Gutter cleaning
- Installation of heat tape
- Clean up on jobs

This position does not guarantee 40 hours of work each week and does not allow for overtime unless special circumstances require and permission is received from project manager and owner.
Garage Door Technician
The Garage Door Technician is a laborer that specializes in the installation and repair of garage doors. They will receive their assignments from the Garage Door Project Manager. Except in special circumstances, each tech should have their drivers license and be capable of driving the work trucks. Each tech needs to be able to work without a manager on site and complete all tasks assigned in the time that is given to them. At the completion of each task, the tech needs to report to the project manager their progress.
Some of the responsibilities of the Technician/Laborers:
- Installation and repair of garage doors and their associated parts
- Drive to suppliers such as Northwest door or Home Depot to pick up job supplies
- Deliver and unload garage doors and other supplies at the job sites
- Clean up on jobs
This list of responsibilities is not all-inclusive.
This position is paid by each specific project not hourly. Example: a project to remove and install a new garage door opener may pay $40 for the tech. The amount paid on each job is determined by the Garage Door Project Manager, he/she knows the amount of time each project should take and assigns what each job pays accordingly.
